Apartment finders also have this scheme where, after showing you a bunch of crap options, they offer you an absolutely beautiful apartment that just happens to be about $100 or so over your monthly budget. And when you say it’s too expensive, they heave a dramatic sigh and say that they just don’t know what they’ll find for that price, but we can keep looking.
