My college experience prepared me to be an actor, a director, a cartoonist. But, aside from a great self-promotion class from James Sturm, I never really learned how one goes about getting these kinds of jobs. I have since learned that this is not an uncommon experience. Apparently most colleges leave out this important part of the process. But at the time, it left me paralyzed with doubt and indecision.
