This comic exactly sums up what I was feeling at the time. It seemed like world events were so serious and momentous that I questioned the frivolity and usefulness of what I was doing. This totally helps explain why Dumbstruck is sprinkled with so much social and political commentary. It was very much on my mind at the time, and gave me the perfect outlet for what I was thinking.
